Ada Masotti opened a workshop in Bologna in 1954 named La Perla for making corsets. In the 70’s, after being successful in the lingerie world, the brand makes the leap to swimwear with innovative fabrics and designs inspired by haute couture. It is from the late 70’s, after the feminist movement, when La Perla started designing lace lingerie perfect to wear under tight dressing. In 1986, her first fragrance was launched: La Perla Parfum. The bottle design was inspired by a woman's cleavage and its scent smells like seduction, beauty and elegance, making it a unique perfume for women.
